Pedestrian Pavillion

Alongside St-Charles River
Québec, Québec
2014

This little wooden pavilion unfolds like a long ribbon winding through the trees to reconnect man with nature. This unique shape allows different spaces to be created, on either side of the structure, meeting the various needs of users. The slatted walls define visual openings in addition to creating special light and shadow effects. A fire illuminates the place in the evening in addition to providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.

A second pavilion, just on the banks of the river, offer splendid views of the stream as well as the city in the distance. It’s shape come as a continuation to the other first pavilion.
