Overview

Epoch Lag is a mobile app where families ask loved ones questions and collect their stories as voice recordings and photos. As the only creative on the team, I lead the brand across the app, website, socials, email and marketing, and help shape the product itself.

Challenges & Solutions

Memory apps tend to look generic. The idea that changed everything was to treat Epoch Lag as an archive, not an app: cream paper tones, printed-photo shadows, serif type, no rounded corners, and classical paintings as the signature imagery. A vibrant orange record button adds a modern touch.

Outcome

The founder consistently hears from users that they love the design, and the archive concept now guides every touchpoint.
